There are lots of things that make The Purple Cow a great spot “for the young of all ages.” Our commitment to quality food and terrific service are obviously biggies. We take a lot of pride in preparing your favorites, and our burgers and shakes are famous for a reason.
But our family-friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff are equally important. A visit to our place is more than a meal. It’s an experience that the whole family truly enjoys – a great time together that, these days, isn’t easy to come by. And we’re proud of that, too.

A Happy Little History
It all started in 1989 when businessman Ed Moore and Chef Paul Bash opened The Purple Cow on Cantrell Road in Little Rock. That original location - modeled after classic diners of the 50s - was a hit, and was soon followed by a second spot. In 2007 the founders retired, transitioning the beloved Cow to businessman Philip Tappan and chef Todd Gold, who opened a new Hot Springs location in 2010.
It's been more than twenty years, but The Purple Cow is staying true to its much-loved roots. The décor is still classic. The atmosphere is still nostalgic. The food is still fantastic. And you know what? We wouldn't have it any other way.
